The start of school can mean only one thing… prom is right around the corner!  

Now you may be thinking that it is crazy to think about prom so soon, but really… how could it ever be too early to find the perfect show-stopping prom dresses? 

When thinking about what you might be looking for when you do go prom dress shopping, here are some trends we at Liz Fields observed when creating our NEW Liz Fields prom dress collection for the 2012 season:

Corset prom dresses will continue to be a trend, because you really can’t beat the fit and charm that a corset brings. 

Showing a little skin is a trend that is continuing on to Spring 2012.  This could be anything from a flirty slit on the skirt, to a cut-out on the back of the dress. 

 

Bold colors such as bright purples, turquoises, and reds.  In contrast all white prom dresses will also be a big trend.

Sequined dresses have been around for a long time, going in and out of style. This year you will be seeing the sequins used to create a larger pattern on the dress, in addition to the all-around shimmer that is classically known."
