Look of the Month : Mad for Marchesa

The reason you find so many well-dressed celebs wearing Marchesa on the Red Carpet is because its so elegant and sophisticated

Elegant eveningwear, inspired by vintage (read classic)  and Asian influences, defines the Marchesa Collection.  Remember the scrumptious white confection worn by Kate Hudson at the 2010 Golden Globes?  Jennifer Lopez at the 2009 Inaugural Gala?

Well tonight, we again see the great treatment the Marchesa team of Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig give to fabrics like this berry satin worn by Vera Farmiga the 82nd Academy Awards. Under normal circumstances, we suppose this dress would be considered over the top and just downright too fluffy. Which was the first impression we got when Vera was posing for the cameras on her way inside. But we easily changed our minds when we saw her onstage, because thats where this dress belongs. On a huge stage, with the magnificent backdrops and lights and well. It WAS THE OSCARS, after all.
