2011 Prom Dress Color of the Year : (thanks Jen)

You remember my "Permission to Speak Your Mind Day Post"? If not, pour yourself a glass of blush and have a read:

Remember how everyone chastised Jen for switching from black to blush? Or was it French-sunset-over-Seine?

Turns out Jennifer and Lacroix were right. Of course they were right. So were the French citizens for loving their wine so much.

But doesn't it make you crazy when the very people who are supposed to be helping us with our fashion needs, get in their collective OMG! moods and tell us what we must and must not wear? Even if it's so right?

Well now that Pantone is on the bandwagon, I hope its ok to wear it now. But I for one am not going to wait to see what they have to say.

2011 Prom Dress Color of the Year: what's not to like? Pantone is calling it "honeysuckle" perhaps from the sweetly-scented Cultivar "Magnifica", which produces flowers that attract the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird.

What's not to like about Mother Nature?
