Well, I admit I made up New Hairstyle Day, but I do have a treat for you and I do have new hairstyles to show you.

First off let me share this link to almost 50 new formal hairstyles, including celebrity hairstyles, medium hairstyles, and wedding hairstyles updos!

These styles will be available at this link for 30 days, after that they will be embedded into the main gallery, so bookmark this page.

Now your treat! I wish I could send you one of these yummy brownies, but for now, I hope you enjoy having this recipe, so you make these brownies whenever you want.

When I got this recipe in a recent email from Jillian Michaels, I thought to myself, "A BROWNIE THAT CAN HELP ME LOSE WEIGHT?"

Now we all know you can't lose weight by eating brownies, but for people like me, who love chocolate, staying on a diet can be torture, especially when you have to give up sweets! So, when I found out they are  less than 100 calories each, I knew I had to try them. Not only that, but they are healthy for you and won't whack out your metabolism, like store bought brownies. I still watch my diet and go to exercise class regularly, but now, when I get weak in the knees from craving a treat, I go for one of these!

Fudge Brownies - from Jillian Michael's, America's toughest trainer

"These brownies are outrageously moist and intensely chocolatey. Whip up a batch the next time you're jonesing for chocolate and you won't be disappointed." - Jillian

Ingredients
  • cooking spray, for the pan
  • 2/3 cup(s) honey, mild, such as clover or orange blossom
  • 1/3 cup(s) cocoa powder, unsweetened, natural
  • 1/2 cup(s) flour, white whole-wheat
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder, aluminum-free
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup(s) applesauce, unsweetened
  • 2 tablespoon oil, olive
  • 1 large egg(s), room temperature
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray an 8-inch square pan with olive oil. Set aside. Place the honey in a large glass measuring cup. Microwave on high power until the honey is runny and just bubbling, 45 to 60 seconds. Add the cocoa and stir with a fork until well combined. Let cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, place the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, oil, egg, and vanilla. Whisk together until well blended. Add the honey- cocoa mixture and whisk until smooth. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture and stir until no traces of flour remain. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake until the surface looks dry around the edges of the pan and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs clinging to it, about 25 minutes. Do not overbake. Place the pan on a cooling rack and let cool completely before slicing into 16 squares. (Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.)
Makes 16 (2-inch) brownies . Each brownie has 85 calories.
